Bible Reading: Zechariah 5-9

Isn't it interesting how just when you start to doubt that God cares, or you just really begin to wonder how things are going to work out- there God goes again and reminds you with His goodness just how much He does care?

I love the old song that goes...revive us...because it's really just a call to action to remember how much God really cares.  That's what I'm vibing on this morning.  Revived by God's love for me.

God is very interested in how we use this gift of a life that He's given us, particularly this new life through His Son Jesus.  Shouldn't we be as invested ourselves?

Week of Aug 5-12

Bible Reading: Jonah, Michah, Nahum, Acts 25-27, Ephesians 1

By the way, I think i'm switching to a once a week reflection on the daily bible readings.  at any rate, this past week put a lot of things in perspective.  Major theme: there's the neverending issue that we were created by God for His purposes, not the other way around.  It seems that theme keeps popping up in current culture and in my readings.

Paul was in jail for 2 years. Wow. Really makes you think about the conditions under which he wrote most if the New Testament.
